About

Hi, I’m Hilary — and it’s okay if life feels messy right now.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and reaching out isn’t always easy. But even being here—reading this—is a meaningful first step. Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, parenting challenges, depression, past trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I’m really glad you’re here. I work with adults who are thoughtful, capable, and often used to holding a lot together—on the outside. On the inside, things may feel overwhelming, heavy, or disconnected. You might have insight into why things feel hard, but actually living it out consistently can feel like a different story. That’s where support can make a real difference. Many of the people I work with are navigating ADHD—personally, or as a parent. If you're raising a child with ADHD, you may be carrying a constant mental and emotional load: advocating, researching, supporting, adjusting… often without much space for yourself. Therapy can be a place where you are supported—so you can show up in the ways you want to, without feeling so depleted. I also support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and the often-overlooked shifts that come with perimenopause and menopause. These seasons can feel confusing, frustrating, or even isolating—but you don’t have to move through them alone. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real life. I’ll meet you with empathy and respect, and I’ll also gently support you in building insight, skills, and self-trust along the way. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you understand yourself more clearly and move forward in a way that actually feels sustainable. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), but what matters most is the relationship we build. Feeling safe, understood, and supported is what allows real change to happen. I’ve been in this work for over 18 years, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting people across a wide range of settings—from private practice to inpatient care to community mental health. Those experiences have shaped how I show up: steady, flexible, and focused on what actually helps. Outside of work, I’m a mom of two spirited kids and someone who deeply values connection, community, and the small, meaningful moments that make life feel full. I understand firsthand that life can be both messy and beautiful—and that perspective is something I carry into my work with clients. I offer virtual therapy across South Carolina, making it easier to access support in a way that fits into your real life. My practice is self-pay, and I can provide a superbill if you’d like to pursue out-of-network reimbursement. If you’re wondering what therapy with me might be like, we can start with a free 15-minute consult. This is a simple, no-pressure conversation—a chance to share what’s been going on, ask questions, and see how it feels to talk together. If it feels like a good fit, we can talk about next steps. If not, I’m always happy to help you think through other options. When you're ready, I’m here.
